Position Title: Department: Health Department Date: Salary Information: Grade: 63 Hiring Rate: $33,059 Salary Range: $34,711 – $49,587 Essential Duties and Tasks The Columbus County Health Department is seeking a Nutritionist I to serve in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program . This is an entry-level nutrition position responsible for providing professional nutrition services and education to program participants. Primary responsibilities include: Interviewing and assessing the nutritional status of pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children . Providing appropriate nutrition counseling and education . Certifying eligible clients for WIC benefits and documenting all services in the electronic medical record . Supporting WIC operations through accurate recordkeeping, participant follow-up, and client communication. Minimum Training and Experience Graduation from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) ; or Dietetics Technician, Registered (DTR) with a Bachelor’s degree in any subject area from an accredited four-year institution; or Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or Community Nutrition from an accredited four-year institution. #J-18808-Ljbffr
